LISA WRIGHT
‘PEACE’ is a painting which seems to chime with the Olive Network. It speaks of the vulnerability of youth and the future of our climate in the hands of the next generation.
‘Peace’ is one of a series of paintings which relate to ‘Future Forest’ 2019 - A collaborative project with Artistic Director Tom Piper to mark the Centenary of the Forestry Commission England. ‘Future Forest’ is a dramatic sculptural installation comprised of ten life size figures that reflect the spirit of endurance that is embodied by forests : rooted in the past, relevant in the present and essential to our survival in the future.
After studying at The Royal Academy Schools, London (1990-1993) Wright moved to Cornwall, in the south west of England, where she currently lives and works. Her work has featured in numerous solo and curated group exhibitions both nationally and internationally and is held in many important corporate and private collections.
